There follows the second issue of the ICC International Court of Arbitration Bulletin.
The first issue was devoted to a general presentation of the Court and to a survey of cases submitted to ICC Arbitration over the past decade. Also presented was the innovative ICC Rules on obtaining pre-arbitral conservatory measures and a special insert on European Arbitration. We would like to thank all our readers who so graciously sent us their congratulations and suggestions.
This second issue takes up some very practical matters: the negotiating and drafting of an arbitration clause, an examination of the processing of an ICC arbitration, an inside view of the ICC's International Court of Arbitration Secretariat ; its role and organization.
This issue will also furnish two types of information long sought by the international legal community. First of all: extracts of recent awards on a given subject. Without infringing upon the rule of confidentiality, we believe it is useful to bring to light for the benefit of parties, arbitrators and practitioners the responses to particular legal issues given by arbitrators in ICC arbitrations. Secondly, a report on interim and partial awards made by the ICC Commission on International Arbitratoin. This important report illustrates that the fast paced evolution of international commercial arbitration continually gives rise ot new questions the response to which requires constant reflection.
The above also provides an idea of what will appear in the issues to come, which will be published twice a year. Those who wish to receive our next issues will find the relevant information inside the pages that follow. We sincerely hope that our Bulletin will continue to be welcomed by readers all over the world.
